Research Interests
Viral Immunology Our laboratory
is focusing on understanding the immunological mechanisms
in inducing effective immune responses against viral
infections. Also, we are interested in pathogenic
mechanisms underlying viral persistence and HCV
oncogenesis. The target viruses of interest are
human immunodeficiency virus type1 (HIV-1), an etiological
agent of AIDS, and hepatitis C virus (HCV) causing
chronic hepatitis and hepatoma.
