The Basic Science Research Institute (BSRI) supports the basic research at POSTECH

via the programs of the Korean ministry of education, KOSEF, and POSTECH's own program. 

This institute supports the outstanding individual researchers who undertake their own

research programmes. Resources are also provided for them to invite visitors, organize

academic meetings. Each individual is encouraged to pursue his own interest to achieve a

superior academic performance. BSRI is operated in close links with the Departments of

Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biological Science, as well as, other related Engineering

Departments.
