Since his arrival at POSTECH in 1996, Prof. Park has received: Korean Patent Administration Directors Award in September 1999; T. K. Rhee and Q. W. Choi Excellence Awards from the Korean Chemical Society in October 2000 and 2001, respectively; the Best Teacher Award from the Department of Chemistry of Postech on May 16, 2005; the Khwarizmi International Award for his outstanding contributions to Basic Science from the Iranian Research Organization for Science and Technology on February 5, 2008; the Medal of Science and Technology from Ministry of Education, Science and Technology on April 21, 2008; and the Sudang Prize on May 10, 2010
