Bus Services
Travelling by bus is a convenient way of getting around town. Citybus operate regular all stop services from the city to the suburbs. There are two kinds of city busies, ordinary buses and seat buses. Ordinary buses have only few seats along the windows and a large standing area, while seat buses have four seats per row and only very little standing space in the middle(which can get incredibly crowded during the rush hour) Also, seat buses cost a bit more and don't stop at all stops of ordinary buses on the same line. For a quicker, more direct journey, hop onto the Seat bus at designated stops.
In Pohang, seat buses have numbers like 200, 250 or 300(Click here than you can see number 300 bus line which runs from Pohang air port to my house), while ordinary buses have numbers 101, 102, 103, etc. the current prices are 700Won for the ordinary bus and 1050Won for the seat bus.
You have to drop the money in the plastic box when you enter the bus. the driver doesn't give change in Pohang but he does so in some other cities, such as Kyongju. It is also possible to buy bus tickets in advance. There are kiosks selling them at many bus stops downtown, for instance at the Intercity Bus Terminal.
There is one other kind of bus that does not carry number and connects Pohang with the region around it. There are two buses stopping at that bus stop: One goes to Kyungju, the other to Angang and then further to Kigye. The bus to Angang is the best way to get to Yangdong folk village. The price to Yangdong is the same as for any seat bus in Pohang

Taxis
Taxis services are plentiful in Pohang, operating on a 24-hour basis with metered fares. Tipping is not expected. But some times they might ask you overcharge illegally.

Ferry
Pohang is one of the most important port town connecting to Ulung I. which is located 300 km northeast of Pohang. There are ferries, linking Ullung Island 3 times every day.

Driving
Having your own car will give you more freedom to explore the Pohang region. There are several of car hire options in Pohang, from major international operator to local rental companies.
It is advisable for overseas visitors to Korea to have an international drivers license, and to familiarize themselves with driving regulations before heading off. We drive on the Right in Korea.
