University Identity
POSTECH PONIX, an amalgam of POSTECH and Phoenix, is the University Mascot derived from the legendary bird.
POSTECH PONIX represents POSTECH’s identity through the atomic structure of the University Emblem that stands for science and technology, and the school colors – POSTECH Red, POSTECH Orange, and POSTECH Gray. Rather than a featureless anthropomorphization of the legendary bird,POSTECH PONIX distinguishes itself by fusing the letter P from POSTECH and phoenix onto its body to personify the University’s character and spirit.
* The University Identity (UI) of Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) is a registered trademark and must not be used for commercial purposes without authorization. Any unauthorized commercial use without the university’s prior approval may be subject to legal actions in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. External design agencies or organizations contracted by POSTECH that require UI files should request them through the department that issued the commission. The provided files may only be used for the approved purpose and must be permanently deleted upon completion of the work.
