University Identity
The circle, the external structure of the emblem, symbolizes the universe; the internal atomic structure represents science and technology, while the torch in the midst of the initial P of Pohang represents the will for seeking the truth.
This emblem is a representation of POSTECH’s strong will to contribute to the development of humanity through the education and research of science and technology.
In the way of putting the English official name, the Korean official name and the year of POSTECH’s foundation in the atomic structure of the existing symbol, the design was intended to clearly represent the history and the founding philosophy of POSTECH.

Any unauthorized commercial use without the university’s prior approval may be subject to legal actions in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. External design agencies or organizations contracted by POSTECH that require UI files should request them through the department that issued the commission. The provided files may only be used for the approved purpose and must be permanently deleted upon completion of the work.
