Types of Scholarships and Eligibility Criteria

1. Tuition Support Scholarships

  • Completion of at least 12 credits
  • Cumulative percentile of 87 (3.0 GPA) or higher
Academic incentive funds and living expenses are separate.

  • Completion of at least 12 credits
  • Cumulative percentile of 80 (2.3 GPA) or higher
Support is tiered based on the income bracket.

Regional Talent Scholarship
  • Within the 8th income bracket for financial aid
  • Completion of at least 12 credits

  • For Life and Mechanical Engineering students in their 7th semester, the top student based on academic performance for the first 6 semesters will be awarded (1 student per department).
  • For students in financial need across all departments, 2 students will be selected.

Dohmoon Scholarship 1,000,000 KRW For 2nd-year students, the top student based on their 1st-year academic performance will be awarded.

Living Allowance 500,000 KRW per month
(including vacation periods)

Korean Proficiency Scholarship 300,000 KRW For international undergraduates
with TOPIK level 4 or higher (One-time support)
Arrival Scholarship Up to 2,500,000 KRW
  • No domestic residence within 6 months prior to admission
  • Reimbursement of actual costs (one-way airfare and domestic transportation expense)
3. External Scholarships

External scholarships vary by foundation/organization in terms of eligibility, support amount, selection, and payment criteria, and they may change each year. Please contact the relevant department for more information.

  • Open Selection: External scholarship selection guidelines are posted on the POVIS → Community → Student Notice Board & Scholarship Board.
  • School-Nominated Selection: When external scholarship organizations request the university to nominate students, the Student Affairs Team selects the scholarship recipients based on the organization's criteria.
4. Honorary Scholarship Program

The Honorary Scholarship Program is a system where students receiving tuition support from the University Funds donate their scholarships to assist other financially struggling students. For information on how to apply and eligibility, please refer to the POVIS Scholarship Board.
