Tenure-track Faculty Positions at POSTECH
Faculty Positions Available
The Department of Mathematics at POSTECH invites applications for several tenure-track faculty positions in all areas of Mathematics. The positions are primarily at the Assistant Professor level, but senior candidates with strong credentials will also be considered for higher-level appointments. The positions are open to mathematicians of any nationalities who are fluent in English. New faculty members are provided with start-up research funds and competitive benefits packages, including ten-year rent-free faculty accommodation.
POSTECH was founded in 1986 by the world-leading steel company, POSCO, and is an internationally renowned academic institution dedicated to education and research in science and engineering. Successful candidates are expected to establish strong research programs and to excel in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
1. Qualification: Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or related disciplines with a outstanding research record and should be able to teach in English.
2. Applicants should submit
(a) A signed cover letter
(b) A curriculum vitae including a list of publications
(c) A description of research and future plans
(d) Copies of selected publications (maximum of 3)
(e) At least three letters of recommendation sent directly by recommenders
(f) Personal Information Collection and Usage Agreement (Downloadable from our homepage)
Additional documents such as academic transcripts may be asked later if necessary.
3. Application period: open until filled (Year-round )
Submissions made by July. 31, 2016 will be considered for appointments in February, 2017.
