Professor Kitack Lee of the Division of Environmental Science and Engineering (DESE) at POSTECH has been selected as a Lecturer for the American Geophysical Union (AGU) College of Fellows Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS).
The AGU College of Fellows Distinguished Lecture Series is a lecture program that provides opportunities for outstanding researchers in the Earth and space sciences to share their research achievements and scientific knowledge with students and researchers around the world. Selected AGU Honorees, including AGU Fellows, participate as lecturers, presenting their research and engaging with a broad audience on important scientific issues.
Professor Lee was named an AGU Fellow in 2019. The AGU Fellowship is an honor recognizing researchers who have made exceptional and sustained contributions to the Earth and space sciences. Each year, no more than 0.1% of AGU members are elected as Fellows. Following his selection as an AGU Fellow in 2019, Professor Lee's appointment as a DLS Lecturer further recognizes his research achievements and academic impact in the international Earth and space sciences community.
Through the DLS, Professor Lee will have an opportunity to share his research with students and researchers around the world and contribute to the broader dissemination of scientific knowledge on key issues in the environment and climate.
